As noted in the [GARD Protocol Tokens](/support/gard-protocol-tokens.md) section, GARDIAN is a loyalty token that rewards users who add value to the protocol. To learn more about GARDIAN please click the preceeding link.
In the past, the GARD Protocol has partnered with a number of other Algorand projects to raise awareness for GARD, however, the protocol has finally launched its own staking pools and decided it was time to bring users home. To stake, follow the following steps:
* Type in the amount of GARDIAN desired to stake
* Press "stake," review any transactions that your wallet asks you to sign, and then sign them
* To unstake, repeat the above steps substituting the "unstake" button
